MEET THE KPFK HOSTS. This unique gathering will be keynoted by the great Lila Garrett of CONNECT THE DOTS.
KPFK is a listener-sponsored radio station based in Los Angeles. KPFK was the second of five stations in the non-commercial Pacifica Foundation network. The Pacifica Foundation was founded in the late 1940’s out of the peace movement surrounding World War II, becoming the birthplace of a listener-sponsored radio.
KPFK has been broadcasting since 1959 over 110,000 watts, the strongest signal west of the Mississippi. KPFK continues to produce the majority of programs in-house giving it the flexibility to provide a platform for stories, news, music, and information to serve the cultural welfare of the communities in and around Southern California that you will not hear anywhere else. KPFK believes forging social change is a fundamental part of how radio can make a positive impact on communities.

Lila Garrett, who is a Emmy award winning television screenwriter, has a passion for politics. She is the popular radio host of KPFK’s “Connect the Dots” which airs on Pacifica Radio and is a regular contributor to the LA Progressive.
Ian Masters is an Australian-born American broadcast journalist, commentator, author, screenwriter and documentary filmmaker.
Masters is host of the KPFK, Pacifica Radio program Background Briefing which deals with American politics, foreign policy as well as domestic American security issues.
Harvey “Sluggo” Wasserman is a life-long activist who speaks, writes and organizes widely on energy, the environment, history, drug war, election protection and grassroots politics. He hosts the KPFK show “California Solartopia.”
Anyel Zuberi Fields is the General Manager of KPFK, 90.7FM, where he served as Operations Manager for eight years.
Eric Mann is cohost of the weekly radio show Voices from the Frontlines: Your National Movement-Building Show on KPFK Pacifica Radio 90.7 in Los Angeles.
Jan Goodman is member of the local KPFK board and Vice-Chair of Pacifica National Board. She is an attorney and former chair of Americans for Democratic Action-Southern California.
Channing Martinez: Producer of Voices from the Frontlines. Channing Martinez is a Black-Garifuna Queer Organizer with the Labor/Community Strategy Center in Los Angeles. His also the producer of Voices from the Frontlines, on KPFK/Pacifica Radio www.voicesfromthefrontlines.com.
